Greetings and welcome on the website of the International Jousting League!

The IJL was created in 2004 to provide those involved with jousting a
reasonably safe and uniquely competitive environment in which
to fulfill their passion for Historical Equestrian Sports.

Since then, the IJL has grown into the largest and most active jousting community
in the modern world.

The International Jousting League includes
over 362 affiliates representing 23 nations,
and successfully oversees tournaments organized by its affiliates on three continents.

MISSIONS :

The IJL supports affiliates' equestrian, historical and competitive interest.
The IJL examines affiliated tournaments' files.
The IJL posts the regulations of the affiliated tournaments.
The IJL auditsthe affiliated tournaments.
The IJL publishes the results of the affiliated tournaments.
The IJL computes the international ranking of its affiliates.
The IJL provides information and advice to tournament organizers.

Each IJL affiliated individual or group remains independent, but agrees to respect
the International Jousting League's protocols as established by the Board of Representatives and
enforced by IJL Auditors at affiliated events.
